Line defects Gasoline, Pull Ducati Monster

Ducati forced to retract or recall of two products in 2012, the Ducati Monster and Hypermotard. Withdrawals made because of problems found in the fuel line.

According to data released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Department of Ducati controls found a small crack in the four-layer fuel lines.

There are cracks on the inner surface of the cable, which is caused due to friction. So that the fuel will leak from the connections between fuel lines and fuel pump.

Reported by Motorcycle.com, Monday, February 20, 2012, this issue was first discovered in November 2011, when a fuel leak was found in five units after testing the engine warm.

Testing is known as a major source of the cause of the leak in the fuel tank. Having discovered the problem on the Ducati due to the drying process of raw material that is not true during the assembly process. Suppliers of raw material for gasoline, Dytech Dynamic Fluid Technologies, confirmed that it is a disability.

This incident resulted in the withdrawal of a number of Ducati in 2012, the Ducati Monster 696, Monster 796, Monster 1100 EVO, 1100 Ducati Hypermotard 2012, EVO, EVO SP Corse Hypermotard 1100, Hypermotard 1100 EVO and SP in 2011.

Ducati dealers will replace the entire fuel line to the unit affected by this problem.
